How to play?

Place a bet. Watch the multiplier increase from 1x upwards! Cash out any time to get your bet multiplied by that multiplier. But be careful because the game can bust at any time, and you'll get nothing!

What is a steemie ?

A steemie is a thousandth of a STEEM. At the time of this writing, a single steemie is worth roughly $0.00047 USD. You are able to deposit and withdraw steemies (minimum 1 Steemie = 0.001 STEEM as it's the minimum transferable amount on the blockchain) at any time by going to your account page.

How can I get free steemies?

You can get free steemies by upvoting our posts and comments on steemit. You'll be able to withdraw that money once you have at least 1 Steemie in your balance.If you withdraw (cancel) your upvote after having received steemies, you'll be banned from the system and won't receive any steemies ever again due to upvotes on our posts.

How do I deposit steemies?

Go to your deposit page and enter the number of STEEM you want to deposit. A link to do so via SteemConnect will be automatically generated. The amount of STEEM will be credited to your account in Steemies (so multiplied by a thousand) once the transation is validated (can take up to one minute). Once you've logged in on the website, any transfer made to the @moonsteem account (whether you do it from the deposit page or by any other way) will be considered as a deposit.

How do I withdraw steemies / STEEM?

On your account page, you can withdraw steemies to your steem account. Withdrawals will be made instantly. Minimum withdrawal amount is 1 Steemie, hence 0.001 STEEM.

How can I send a tip / rain?

On your account page, go to the Tips tab.
You can send a tip (send Steemies to another player) with a fixed fee of 0.1 Steemie per tip, and a variable fee of 1 % of the tip amount.
You can also "make it rain" on random players, the amount you choose will be divided between the players you "rained on" (choose a number of players, an amount, and that amount will be divided by the number of players). There's no fee for rains.

What is gross profit?

Gross profit refers to the sum of the profit from each game you've played without considering your loses.

What happens if I disconnect from the game?

Upon detecting that you have disconnected we cash you out (assuming the game is still in progress). Regardless of whether your client is connected or not, the auto cash-out feature will work as expected (it happens on the server), and we highly recommend you use it if internet reliability or performance is a concern.

How high can the game go?

There's no real limit! However, if during a game we ever are facing a net loss of 0.75% of the bankroll or greater, the server will automatically cash out all players still in the game, forcing them to enjoy an early win and a sizeable profit. You can see in game what the current max win is (Max Profit in the top left corner of the chart). Here's a detailed example of a game stopping with max profit being reached.

What is Max Profit ?

The game is designed in a way that we have no idea on the following :
- How many player(s) will be playing for a particular round,
- How much each player will be betting,
- At what auto cash-out multiplier have these players set.

To limit the risk on the bankroll (net loss of maximum 0.75% per round), if all profits made by players in a round exceed the max profit per round (0.75% of bankroll), the round will automatically be stopped, forcing all players who haven't cashed out yet when max profit is reached into an early win.

Max profit : 100,000 Steemies
Max bet : 2,200 Steemies

Before round starts
Tony bets 1,000 Steemies (1 STEEM) at autocashout multiplier : 2x
Jane bets 1,000 Steemies (1 STEEM) at autocashout multiplier : 5x
Mike bets 2,200 Steemies (Max Bet of 2.2 STEEM) at autocashout multiplier : 20x
Sharon bets 2,200 Steemies (Max Bet of 2.2 STEEM) at autocashout multiplier : 100x

When the multiplier hit 25.19x, the game will autocash out everyone and distribute the max profit to all players accordingly to their bets and multipliers.

Payout Profit
Tony : 2,000 Steemies (1,000 * 2) -> Net profit of 1,000 Steemies (1 STEEM) -> Cumulative Net profit of 1,000 Steemies (1 STEEM)
Jane : 5,000 Steemies (1,000 * 5) -> Net profit of 4,000 Steemies (4 STEEM) -> Cumulative Net profit of 5,000 Steemies (5 STEEM)
Mike : 44,000 Steemies (2,200 * 20) -> Net Profit of 41,800 Steemies (41.8 STEEM) -> Cumulative Net profit of 46,800 Steemies (46.8 STEEM)
Sharon : 55,418 Steemies (2,200 * 25.19) -> Net Profit of 53,218 Steemies (53.218 STEEM) -> Cumulative Net profit of 100,018 Steemies (100.018 STEEM) exceeding Max Profit

As we can see, in that game, Sharon has been forced to take an early profit because net profit made by all players exceeded Max profit possible per round

What is the most I can bet?

The maximum bet amount is 2.2% of the max profit per game, you can see it in the top left corner of the chart (Max Bet).

About dynamic variables

Please know that Max Bet and Max profit are dynamic variables, calculated at the beginning of each game depending on the current bankroll. Please take this into account. The percentage of bankroll used for the calculation of Max Profit, and the percentage of Max Profit taken into account for the calculation of Max Bet can be subject to changes.
The Min Bet / Min Increment variables are not dynamic but can be changed.
All the above variables can be subject to change as owners review the game data and balance it between investors' and players' interests. We will give prior notice before we update any of the variable(s) above, except for the dynamic calculation of Max Profit and Max Bet values at the beginning of each round.

What are the game odds?

The house margin is 2 %.

All games are provably fair.

How is the game bust calculated?

The code that decides the multiplier for each round is here:

moonSTEEM v2 Provably-Fair Seeding Event

Is the game fair?

Absolutely! And we can prove it. Please see: our seeding event for technical details.

What happens when the server forces people to cash out?

Under some circumstances the server will force people to cash out. The most common reason is that the game multiplier has gotten so large that we are risking too much of our bankroll (0.75 % or more). Another possible reason is unexpected server problems.

Do you have gambling addiction?

Gambling addiction, also known as compulsive gambling, is a type of impulse-control disorder. Compulsive gamblers can’t control the impulse to gamble, even when they know their gambling is hurting themselves or their loved ones. Gambling is all they can think about and all they want to do, no matter the consequences. Compulsive gamblers keep gambling whether they’re up or down, broke or flush, happy or depressed. Even when they know the odds are against them, even when they can’t afford to lose, people with a gambling addiction can’t “stay off the bet.”

Gamblers can have a problem, however, without being totally out of control. Problem gambling is any gambling behavior that disrupts your life. If you’re preoccupied with gambling, spending more and more time and money on it, chasing losses, or gambling despite serious consequences, you have a gambling problem.
